Healing & Energy Work

Energy, in the context of health and healing, is described by Traditional Chinese Medicine as vital life force, or, chi. In India it is prana. We just call it energy.

There are subtle energetic aspects of our body, mind, and spirit that are impacted by negative forces and thrown out of balance.

A sensitive healer can help balance and harmonize these subtle energies, raising the overall health of the client to a new level. Meditation is also an indispensable tool for restoring energetic balance and flow.

Things that lead to energy blockage are:

  1. Lifestyle: poor diet, lack of exercise, social disconnection

  2. Unprocessed emotions and trauma

  3. Stress

  4. Spiritual disturbances

In Peruvian shamanism, they use the word hucha to describe dense, heavy, or disturbed energy. The healer employs a technique called chupa (drawing out) to remove the hucha and restore flow. The healer also channels different types of energy for sustaining, changing, and enlivening. And in Shiatsu, one uses touch to direct the flow of energy. I combine these approaches for maximum effect.

On Zoom, I am bringing in more from my work with Buddhist meditation and healing, in addition to shamanic work. In sessions, I practice deep listening and empathy, and sometimes swing a pendulum to tap into my intuition. We may spend the session in conversation or I might also guide you in a healing somatic meditation. Clients have reported profound shifts even in this more remote context.

Offerings

Energy work is a type of hands-on healing that affects the whole person in a profound way. A typical session involves deep listening followed by hands-on healing. The first session is 60 minutes and follow up sessions are 30 minutes.

I am now offering Zoom sessions as well as in person. In a Zoom session, offerings include deep listening and empathy, herbs, dowsing with a pendulum for specific answers, and guided meditations, journeys, and somatic healing.

First session at the Little Compton Wellness Center is $50. I am able to offer services at a reduced price there because it’s a nonprofit. Follow up sessions are just $40.

Zoom sessions are currently $50.
